Front Cover Layout 1

This layout features the title centralized at the top of the page, with the heading and sub-heading also centralised underneath this. Most magazines feature the title left aligned so this layout shows a different visual technique, therefore may appear more attractive for the reader. With the heading at the top of the page, it is clear to see that this is the main feature of the magazine and therefore gives an insight into the contents of the magazine. The main image acts as a background to the front cover, with the title, headings, coverlines and images placed on top. This is effective as it compliments the headings and appeals to the reader. The coverlines would be right-aligned to show the content of the magazine, so the reader knows where to look to find the features and decide whether to buy the issue, and the image showing the free posters within the magazine would be placed in the bottom left corner. I like this layout as it is slightly different from the traditional layout of a magazine, however i don't think it would compliment the simplistic font choice that i have chosen.
