Colour Schemes

One of the potential colour schemes i decided on was Purple and white. i chose these colours are there isn't another magazine on the market with a similar colour scheme, so would be unique and stand out. The colour is also eye-catching and bold against the white background. However, the purple colour may appeal more greatly to a female audience, which minimizes the potential target market, limiting the amount of people the magazine attracts.

The other colour scheme i liked was Grey, White and Turquoise. I think these colours compliment one another, yet also contrast in order to appear bold and eye-catching. The grey colour can also be used to show the rocky genre of the magazine, however the turquoise and whtie will be used to prodimantly show the other genres that will be included in the magazine. The turquoise colour is bright and will grab the attention of the reader, without limiting itself to a specific gender, therefore appealing to the widest audience. The colours also don't suggest a specific genre of music, yet they can be used with different fonts and images if i wish to portray a specific genre.
